How it all started...
Grand Avenue started as a small church in the 1950's. A group of charter members started meeting at various places in the Carbondale area until they decided to build a building. This new church became Western Heights Christian Church. We still have Charter members attending Grand Avenue to this day!
Expanding the vision...
In the Early 2000's, members once again banded together and built a new building on Grand Avenue in Carbondale. This building was designed to support more people, and was in close proximity to the University. Leadership saw this new building as an opportunity to make outreach a priority.
Where we are headed...
Although only God knows what the future will bring for Grand Avenue, we will continue to seek the lost and broken in our community and beyond. We will push to build a strong and close church family that is united as one in the body of Christ.
